This song was originally performed by The Agents, a band from Monterey County, California during the early 1980s.

This song was written by Michael Brooks, the lead singer, guitarist, and main songwriter of the band. Long story short, my dad (Mike Holland) was the lead guitarist for this group, so this is how close to the band I am. Their music was one of the first I heard as a child and a major influence, indeed.

Brooks has written many great songs; he's a great songwriter, and has always been a great friend of our family. If it wasn't for Mike I probably wouldn't be influenced enough to start writing songs at an early age. So recording this rendition and adding it to the album is an honor.

I always liked the message of this one and the version of mine was heading toward the direction I wanted to go with the album, and I believe it fits perfectly. Great song, I had to put it at the top. I'd like to do a whole album of his songs if I could and "marshallize" them like this one.
